I was wondering if the yellowish beige piping on a cwd saddle is too much for the hunters and Eq?
I doubt it’ll be an issue. Saddles used to have tan panels instead of matching the upper and I can’t imagine this being any more distracting than that (assuming the judge notices it at all!). It’s not as if it’s hot pink
I found a hot pink one and was very tempted lol. But this is definitely the best fit for all three rings.
We. Don’t. Care.
While I’m not showing at the big A/ circuit level, my CWD with piping has never been a factor in my success (or failure) in the hunter or equitation rings. The judge is watching your horse and you. The saddle is a blur to them.
The judge herself @mroades has weighed in you’re good with this! Honestly, even a hot pink one would be fine. I’ve seen one in the hunter ring with the hot pink piping and it’s such a tiny part of the tack and turnout, it isn’t terribly noticeable. Fun saddle!
I see the cream piping on CWDs in the hunter ring all the time. No big deal. I actually have one with orange piping because I got a screaming good deal on it second hand and it fits just about every sales horse I put it on. I hate the color, but no one notices unless they’re up close, and it hasn’t affected my placings at all.
Orange secondhand here as well! The fitter said it won’t work for the big-deal hunters, which is perfect, bc we’re in no position to junk up a big-deal hunters class.
No one cares. I’ve seen plenty color combos in the hunters. It’s piping, not the flap color.
I judge “big deal hunters”, and we still don’t care. Honestly, unless its WAY too big or WAY too small there is no way we’d even notice most likely
I think rainbow piping wouldn’t even a problem, much less this. Can piping even be seen from further than 10 feet?
no
Lol I know, it was a rhetorical question
I’m glad that got cleared up because it’s a beautiful saddle!
