CWD Sizing question

I have a small horse, she is 15.1hh, average build, usually fits large pony or cob sized tack. I ordered the CWD bib running martingale for her at Christmas, however a size 3 arrived (much too large!). I am returning the size 3 and am trying to decide if I should go with the size 1 (states on the website that size 1 is pony) or the size 2 (small horse). I have found in the past that CWD tends to run on the generous side for sizing, but don’t know if I should go with the 1 or the 2

Can anyone help?

I believe the website has measurements. At least they do for the bridles. The bridle sizing is pretty standard, so I would go with a 2. The 2 bridle was truly cob sized when I got mine and I ended up exchanging it. A 3 fits perfectly and my horse has a refined head.

I have a variety of tack in size 2 and 3 from CWD.

The size 3 was too large for my mare who is pretty standard in most cob size bridles as long as it has a long enough brow band and noseband. She fits very well in the size 2 bridle. I can adjust a size 3 bridge breastplate to fit her and a size 2 standing martingale fits her well. Hopefully that helps.

Goodluck!

Size 2

Thanks all! I measured her current martingale and sent the measurements to the rep I am dealing with. Hopefully she can make sense of my diagram and I will get a good fit
