Has anyone found it difficult to get hold of Dr. Schmidt? I’ve emailed (inluding a photo of my mare) several times and left a phone message, but to no avail. I’m sure she’s super busy, but now I’m getting paranoid… maybe she doesn’t like my mare!?
She will get back to you! I know she was leaving for a veterinary conference this week, Liberty has just arrived at her farm and she has a full time practice too. She is normally pretty easy to get a hold of, you just caught her at a unusually crazy busy time!
I have a friend who had a colt by him this year. Lovely colt. fantastic manners. Ironically, no white on him!
Since Dacaprio and DeLaurentis are so closely related, would they produce similarily?
Don’t worry! She will get back to you. If she’s out of town, she may not get the message until she returns. Keep in mind that she’s got a very busy practice to run as well as her farm. I have always gotten a return call or email in a reasonable amount of time.
I sent her an email and some info on my mare and she called me 2 days later.
Strikes me as very dependable.
Thank you everyone. Turns out she knew she could only reach me in the evenings, and with her farm calls and the time difference that’s been a problem-
Resurrecting this ancient thread bc in my internet sleuthery to find out about my new horse, discovered I just bought the mare that prompted this thread - small world! Ten years later, she is sweet, smart, ammy-friendly, and adorable. I tried to find info on her breeder but didn’t come up with much, but there’s a fair amount of video and pictures floating around the web on her.
I don’t know what we all did without the internet - there’s so much horse research readily available nowadays (much to my delight!)
This is an ancient thread I know - but does anyone have any contact info for Chuck Powers? I own the filly from this inspection and I would love to have some baby pics of her if they exist.
