Dafna winter boots

The tall ones, before i plunk $60 on boots i wanna know if they will fit my size 6 foot and 17.5" calf?

Also any difference than the fashion ones? Besides them being plaid and 10$ cheaper?

Dafna vs blizzard boots? Look the same except blizzard is fleece lined which i loff so i guess they fit like dafnas?

Blizzard

Dafna

Buy them from smartpak so you can return them if they don’t fit… I bought the dafna’s from them last year. I have a size 10 and a 16.5 calf and they work well. Not the warmest boot in the foot, but my toes always get cold, haven’t found anything but battery socks to make a difference. I rode in them, walked through snow and ice ( with yak tracks because I am afraid of ice). I would buy them again.

I have never found a winter barn boot that has enough traction to not need YakTrax or cleats. It’s always fun running into the house for something and your cleats or Trax don’t work on hard surface flooring. I keep forgetting that my snow and ice traction outside = ice skates inside, LOL!

I need new winter boots too. My last pair of tall Mucks (Brit riders IIRC) have died (holes) and I haven’t tried any new ones on. No tack shops nearby that carry more than 1-2 types and winter boots are something I like to try before buying.

I do like the idea of Velcro on the sides. Easy on and off but can also fit over something other than britches or narrow legged jeans. That $60 price looks decent too.

Might be reason enough for a trip to the Equine Affaire this month. I need boots and gloves.

Long-time lurker here.
It appears Ovation has bought them out.

FWIW, I bought a pair of these off ebay in 2001(?) and I still have them. They are different than the ones I bought winter before last: Old ones denser / heavier foot construction with removable WOOL liners. New ones - well the reflective stripe is painted on, and started wearing off 1st season. Synthetic fleece-lined, which I don’t care for as much as wool. I would recommend getting a half or full size larger and wearing THICK, heavy wool sox if need feet warm, as constriction is 1 reason for cold feet.

I have no clue on the Ovation brand, but I’d still recommend these at this price. These are also great for wading thru snowdrifts - I even bought my husband a pair. I wear mine ALL winter: mud, snow, ice, riding, etc. It is truly AMAZING how good the 12+ yo pair still look - wish they were still made to those specs!

I love these! Have used them for yrs here on the farm in the winter. I do not ride in them----I work in them. Put a pair of little hotties in the foot. they are adjustable for the calf also and I have a “well developed calf” and cannot buy non adjustable off the rack. I even keep a pair of these new at all times and I am going to buy another pair now.

Ladies, use “Little Hotties” in your shoes. they stick to yur sock and are comfortable and last 6 hrs.

FYI, I have found that the tall winter boots with the faux leather inner leg patches really scraped up the flaps on my saddle over the winter. I had the patches replaced with real leather by a shoe repair guy.

The foot warmers never work that well in my boots. Not enough air, maybe? My feet are always cold, unless I’m snowshoeing or cross country skiing. The warmers work fine in mittens though, sometimes too well. For this price I might put a pair of these on my Christmas list.
