Dancing horses and camels - intricate body clip

Very intricate body clip on a camel at 3:30.
The rest is rather… puzzling (and proof that horses - and camels? are adaptable and forgiving animals.)

We need a camel whisperer to explain to us what all that is.

Talk about u-necked and above the bit.
What a long neck they have!

The reins for the camels seem to be attached to something that goes through the camel’s nose. The camel with the interesting clip seemed distressed to me.

Ahh…Hey, y’all, look at this!

Yeah, that’s an understatement - this is for the enjoyment of the people, not the animals involved…

Like your average horse show. Not a huge difference.

That scares me…along with some other practices around the world - I just don’t understand it. They didn’t look very happy, or show much relaxation or submission.

so you mean like some of the crap you’d see at lets say at any breed show , dressage show , hunter show , reining show , barrel race

Its foreign to us so it seems extreme not to mention the throngs of OMG abuse videos for our view pleasure on you tube. However I bet if you sat those men down and made them watch a 2 or 3 year old western pleasure futurity class or a sprinkling of other equestrian facets and the “training” involved they’d be like WTF you horse abusers …

Eh, show them Big Lick and ask them to identify what animal is being ridden!

As I said - not trying to defend other practices as dubious training goes on all around us…just sayin’. It still looks scary.

Wow! that’s an amazing body clip on the one camel. That’s art!

That body clip was an amazing work of art and the color of that camel (both clipped and unclipped) was also incredible.

For anyone unsure if they want to watch the potentially upsetting video- I’ll offer this alternative happy video of a different take on “horse and camel dancing”

Plainandtall : D

I loved the original video.
Did not seem abusive to me {shrugs} - those handlers, both camels & horses seemed to take pride in their animals.
I had no idea a camel could rear!
Clipjob on the camel was Amazing!!!
