My OTTB has Danzig on the top and bottom of his pedigree, I just noticed. He is 4 generations back on top, 5 on the bottom, and I realize that far back is often not likely to be considered having much influence. But with Danzig on top AND bottom… then what? He LOOKS like a ND horse, with the bay color and the big behind. I have read some about the personality of Danzig off spring as talented, but anxious and quirky, which is my horse to a T. Any thoughts on Danzig like this in the pedigree welcome. I am not sure what direction to take this horse, either lower level dressage or lower level jumping-- not looking to resale, he is my long term project horse to have fun with and enjoy.
Danzig, to me, is a stamper… usually you can tell if a horse has Danzig horse up close. He is popular, not just here but overseas - and seems to be a good bid for sporthorse potential.
I wouldn’t consider seeing him in a pedigree as a negative thing. I personally like him. Sounds like you’ll have fun with him and I am sure he is talented enough to do whatever it is you ask of him.
