Dear ISR/Oldenburg Breeders, Owners, & Inspection Attendees:
Hilltop Farm is hard at work preparing our beautiful facility for those attending the upcoming ISR/Oldenburg Inspection. Based on the current number of entries, both the Hilltop and ISR/Oldenburg staff have decided to make the inspection a one-day event (Saturday, August 16th 2014). This offers an exciting opportunity for spectators to see stallions and mares perform under-saddle, later followed by the broodmare and foal presentations.
Saturday’s program is tentatively expected to start at 8:30 a.m. with the stallion presentations, followed by the Sporthorse and Mare Performance Tests. The inspection will then conclude with mare and foal evaluations. A tentative schedule will be posted online the week of the inspection for a more accurate time frame.
This condensing of the program has opened an opportunity for the judges to give an educational lecture on the evening of Friday the 15th at 6 p.m. The lecture will be a discussion on the challenges facing modern sporthorse breeding and will be open to the public free of charge.
