That explains it. I was reading the results and when I got to the placing for and names of the Ukrainian team I was truly truly baffled. I live in an area populated by descendents of Ukrainian immigrants and I can assure you, those are not Ukrainian names!! Not a ski or chuk to be seen!!
In fact, our local joke is that a big horse of unknown parentage with possibly some draft blood is referred to as a “Ukrainian warmblood”.
I will certainly raise a vodka to their success. After I raise a beer for Eric Lamaze’s performance :yes:
