I had heard about this in the local news first, as there is now a public park on the grounds of Bowie.
The thoroughbred news coverage had me wondering if it was a thoroughbred/racing connected horse? Or are they just covering it because it’s Stronach property?
This is such a bizarre situation.
The suggestion that there was something identifying about the horse that had been altered reminds me of the case in FL where Horacio Barbaran cut the tattoo out of a horse’s lip to try to make it disappear…
I’m glad people are taking this seriously.
And, yikes!
I just looked up Horacio Barbaran and he’s back running horses at Mountaineer! He’s been out of the picture for years since that incident in Florida. I guess anything goes at Mountaineer.
