I emailed Albion, but emails was kicked back. Sent a Facebook message, got an automated reply stating they don’t do serial # checks anymore.
Does anyone happen to know if the year of manufacture is a part of the serial # like some saddles or how to figure that out? Thanks!
I was told by a fitter years ago that it is not part of the serial number, there’s no real way to get a good age outside of knowing the history of the models and little tweaks that have been made to them over the years. Not sure if that’s true or not though, so I’ll be curious to see if anyone more knowledgable chimes in!
That stinks that they’re not doing the serial number checks anymore. That’s how I found out how old my saddle was; the serial number doesn’t have the year in it. Maybe if you post a picture of the saddle we can at least help decipher the rough age?
That’s odd. When Albion used to respond, about 4 years ago I sent them only the info stamped on the flap and they told me exactly how old it was.
