New Name Game-Guess the Discipline
You can totally tell the discipline by the horse’s name.
Reining: Phrases, intentionally mispelled, love the letters “x” and “z”
Dressage: Single word, often sounds like a upper crust first or last name. perhaps with a breeder prefix
Eventing: two word names, often real people or places (especially in Ireland) or a noun modified by an adjective
Endurance: Arabic words or barn names/ school horse names
I must say, the list of reining names made my eyes bleed. Yikes. And people complain about OTTB registered names. There’s no way I’d be able to resist changing “This Chics On Top”, “Its Wimpys Turn”, “Whizin Off Sparks”, Hot Smokin Chex, Gunners Special Nite, etc… That said, I love the Italian horse’s name “Yellow Jersey” and “Hey Houston” is not too bad.
