Delaware Valley College Boarding

.

Hey, first of all just wanted to say congrats on going to DVC… excellent choice! (it’s where I went too!). I’m assuming that you checked with the school to see if you could board on campus? I know that would be limited but try contacting the folks who run the equestrian center anyway because they probably know where other students are boarding.

I think asking at the college is a great idea. Mile View Farm in Doylestown has been recommended on here before. You might want to do a search in the forums and see if you come up with any other suggested farms.

Another DelVal alum here! Keep an open mind, keep the good, toss the bad, and ENJOY IT!! Best 4 years of my life!

There are TONS of local boarding barns. Tons. You can find everything from top-of-the-line show barns to backyard barns and everything in between. Contact a staff member at DVC and ask for the list of local boarding barns, they keep an updated one on hand for students who are bringing their horses with them. You cannot keep your horse at school unless you lease them to the program, and not every horse is well-suited to that!

And if you have any DelVal questions, I just graduated 4 years ago, so PM me!! I still live in the area, and I love my college. I would recommend my barn to you but we just filled our last available stall and have no indoor.

Hi there! I recently started working at DelVal and faced the same struggle finding a place to board my horse. I ended up at Sunset Ridge Farm (http://sunsetridgefarm.intuitwebsites.com/) which is a bit of a hike, but I really like it there. Unfortunately, they are full right now and do not have an indoor.

Please check the DelVal Facebook page - an alum recently posted/suggested a farm on there that mentioned access to trails: https://www.facebook.com/delval

I believe I have the most recent list of facilities that the equine studies program provides - happy to share that via email if you like  Good luck!
