How do I delete a post/thread I made?
Posters can’t delete threads, but can delete posts in threads.
To delete posts, try clicking on “edit”, then on the bottom of the posting window there will be “delete”.
Click that and follow the next prompt “delete reply” and your post will be deleted.
You may notice the little dot that tells you you posted in a thread will still show you posted there, even if the post was deleted.
In addition to bluey’s spot on advice:
You cannot delete the first post creating a thread. You can edit the content.
Removing content from a first post or trying to “delete” a thread by putting nonsense in the subject line and initial post is pretty much GUARANTEED to draw a ton of attention to it.
Deleting posts or editing content doesn’t filter down through to quotes of that content. If you’ve been quoted, your post will persist in the quote.
