I started a thread that I would like to delete. I tried to do it through the edit button, but there isn’t a delete button.

I don’t think you can delete the whole thread, but you can delete all the text and change the title to “forget it” or “nevermind” (not an uncommon thing!)…but if there was ongoing discussion I think the moderators have to take that down for you.
It is so sad. I was trying to find out some information on a particular farm and instead of using pm, one of the users bashed this farm publically on the forum. The owner of the farm is really nice and I am going to become a client and now I feel responsible for bringing attention to them in a negative way. The owner was quite up front with me in regards to the “mistakes” made and I want more than anything to get this thread off.
I changed the title to “nevermind” and deleted the farms name from the original post.
If you hear of anything else that I can possibly do, I would appreciate you let me know.
We generally do not delete threads upon request, and the steps you’ve already taken re: editing your own posts are what we typically advise for those wishing to curtail a topic they’ve started.
Posters can delete their entire posts by clicking “edit” then “go advanced” except for posts that start a thread, in which case, you can only edit/remove the content of the post vs. the entire post.
We did remove your duplicate thread of the same topic from Off Course however.
Representatives from the farm or program are welcome to post on the thread to correct any information they believe has been provided in error or respond to criticism.
Thanks!
