Der Dau Brown Field Deal Alert

Hope this helps someone- seems to be quite the bargain.
Manhattan Saddlery has Der Dau off the rack brown field boots on sale for $275. Note- they are “London Tan” so perhaps might be too light?

See them here- https://www.manhattansaddlery.com/product_info.php?cPath=21_51_149&products_id=716&sid=cjoa70obj97gvjtgjriik72ij6

I think they look lovely!

Thanks! They are now added to my (never ending) B-day wish list!

Thanks for the info.

If the Hispars I ordered don’t work out, I’ll try these!

Can’t wait to rock some brown boots with my rust breeches.

What does the T stand for on the measurement chart?

T stands for top as in top of boot directly under the knee.

Thanks, Quinn.
Time to check the site again, call re measurements, and “git 'er done”.

Went to order a pair, and it doesn’t give you the height options in the leg?

I called regarding sizing. The boot fitting man (?) is going to call me or email back.
However, the salesperson I talked to on the phone did say their site is not updated to let people know what sizes are left. Probably better to call instead of ordering off of the internet.
The boot fitting man will call, of course, when DH has picked me up and we are running errands.:lol::eek:

More details?

In the sizing chart:

Isn’t H height? The numbers make that seem logical.

I assume C is calf at the widest point

What is T-- a dimension a little smaller than calf.

Also, can some of your Ariat-Der Dau hybrids compare their sizing? How wide or narrow are Der Daus? If I’m happy in a 6.5 Ariat paddock boot but I have a wide foot, will I be happy in the same size or one longer?

TIA. Everyone needs brown boots they just don’t realize it and often get to opportunity.

There is another thread somewhere with the size chart.

I don’t have super wide feet but they are a bit wide and I wear a 6.5…my custom Der Dau are plenty roomy…could have gotten away with a 6. I can’t compare to Ariat, I have never had Ariat anything.

Couldn’t help myself!

I haven’t even gone out hunting yet, but couldn’t help but buy a pair! They’re lovely.

Ooohh~ why did I look!? Smacks forehead I’m such a boot junkie & these are just like my old Miller customs…:sigh: I want!

Oh goody, goody…

My ship will be docking in Manhattan on Tuesday. I’m running right over and trying a pair on. If anyone wants me to ask specific Q’s, PM me. I would be happy to help. I will give you the full details when I get back!

Must not look

Oops, too late. They are beautiful. I’ve got an old pair of brown Marlboro dress boots that I wear on informal days. They are from the seventies and short in height. Found them in the back when my husband closed his tack store. I also have a pair of Dehner field boots I could wear again if I ever set myself to some serious dieting.

These are beautiful though, but I will resist.

Thanks for the tip!

Hubby’s out of town and the boots are ordered. Yee haw!!

Beware before buying Der-Dau

Beware before buying Der-Dau boots. You cannot return them and they don’t stand behind their product. I bought a pair while at the world cup. They measured me and then when I got the boots, the measurements were all wrong. The calves were enormous. I returned the boots at my expense for correction. When I called to find out the status of the correction, they told me they were too busy with other repairs and that someone would contact me when they got to mine. Instead weeks later the boots were mailed back to me without correction. I then sent them back with a request for a refund as I am not sure what your time limit waiting for boots are, but several months is not cool. Two months after sending them back, the Customer Service Director called me and said she was informing me of their no refunds policy. Here I am 6 months later, out $1500 and still no boots! Der-Dau sucks.

kzagoria, not sure if you actually clicked the link or not, but these are for off the rack boots on sale at $275, not $1500. But thanks for joining the site just to post this all over the place anyway.

Back to the subject at hand, got mine in the mail today. They are gorgeous, soft as butter, and I can’t WAIT to slap them on for cubbing season!!! Oh, and definitely not too light. A rich brown color without being really dark. Thanks for the tip!

Quit tempting me.

now I’m worried…

I called and got talked in to a pair of zip ups for $400. all kinds of reassurances about being able to return them if they don’t fit etc. I hope they stand behind them…it is a great deal.

I had no problem figuring out the measurements… they arrived in record time and fit PERFECTLY! Can’t wait to wear them cubbing on Wednesday.
