I don’t do a lot of shopping in the baby section of stores and never had children myself. Needed to get a new tube of Desitin, as mine was old and needed to be replaced. So at the store, I noticed that there was a Maximum Strength Desitin in a purple tube/tub that is 40% zinc oxide. I’ve always gotten the blue tube, which is 13%.
Not sure why I never noticed the max strength version. I guess I just get so tuned into what I’ve used for years, I just look for the same thing and grab it - not noticing what else is on the shelf.
Is there any advantage to getting the max strength version? Are there special uses for the max strength that you wouldn’t use the regular strength for? Is the max strength not advised to use on horses? Just curious.
I went ahead and got the regular strength in a large tub (instead of the tube) this time. But was just wondering if I should have opted for the 40%. Or if I should have both? TIA
