I’ve been kinda-sorta following this gelding since I briefly owned his half-brother in 2014. He started in July 2015, ran dead last in every race he finished, and DNF’d in one because he bolted out of control.
Well, he ran with new connections on Saturday and won by 3 1/4 lengths at 55-1! It feels a little weird to be this happy about a horse I’ve never met winning $9k in a MSW at Mahoning Valley, but I am. I wish him a happy future, he looked like he was having a blast.

I assume you refer to the Determinator by Boastful x Mintess? The race record seems right. I like that Mintess is by Kris S.
Update: Determinator is still with the same connections, has won two claiming races since breaking his maiden and ran second in an Allowance race today 
Does anyone here know Michael Grace at Mahoning Valley? I’d like to let him know that I’m looking out for Determinator if he needs someplace to go when he’s done.
On another note, he looks so much like his big brother Keyhole. It makes me wonder how the big guy would have done in different circumstances.
