Devon Box Seating

Can someone please explain to me how I can buy a table for the Devon Grand Prix this year? I’m trying to buy a table for my trainers birthday. I only need the table/box that night. I’m quite inexperienced with loving the high life, so I apologize in advance if this question is… Dumb.

Thanks -

Oh OP, a box for Thursday at Devon may be impossible this close to the event. The tickets for the grandstands sell out very quickly and a lot of the Main-Liners keep the box solely for the Grand Prix. Your best bet would be to call/email tickets@devonhorseshow.org or 610-688-2554 and see if they know of anything available. Another option would be Wednesday night for the speed stake- it’s also a big night, is FEI ranked AND there will be less crowds (read: more wine for you!). Hope this helps!

Unfortunately at this point you’d be lucky to find any seats at all. Grand Prix night is always SRO and reserved tickets sell out early. Boxes are rarely available - there is a wait list. Last year they did introduce a new viewing option, The Devon Club which is several suites for larger groups. Again, I’d be pretty sure they are also sold out for Grand Prix night. For future reference, general ticket sales usually start the first week of April.

Sorry to hijack - didn’t want to start a separate thread for a similar question.

Boyfriend and I will be in the area for Devon this year. We’ll either go Wednesday or Thursday during the day to watch the hunter derby or high performance hunters. Do we need tickets for this? Or is it just like a regular show where we can just walk in?

You need to pay to get into the show and then pay extra to get a seat in the stands. If you want tickets to sit for the Grand Prix, start trying to purchase the day after for the following year. Those are the first seats to go. And the boxes tend to be owned and given to heirs in a will. There is no renting a box, particularly for Thursday night.
