Watching the replay of the WIHS Jumper phase. Equitation horses are saints.

Case in point; the round at 2:27:20 WIHS Jumper phase replay. What a sweet horse.

Sadly, the livestream doesn’t seem to be working all that well today. Hope they get the technical glitches sorted out!

Oh! What a sweetheart. Look at that rain. yuks

How did you do when you showed at Devon?

Is the live stream not working for anyone else? Great timing since the GP is supposed to start now…

It’s working for me on Firefox.

Have you found it?

Yeah, think it was my computer being a dingus!

Who’s on the mic tonight?

Frank Madden and Oliver Kennedy

She might have had a rail tonight, but I’m still impressed that Lillie Keenen showed at Devon and got her degree from Harvard in the same week!

Feeling pretty pleased with myself as I called both the winner and the winning jump-off time tonight. That’s my win for the day and I’m going to bed.

I watched the hackney classes and had no idea what they’re judged on but they sure look fun. I want a fast-trotting snappy-knees pony!

I don’t have anything against them, but I wish they could figure out a way to organize the schedule so that the hunters and the driving ponies don’t show right next to each other at the same time. Some of the hunters coped with them pretty well. Others… not so much.

I was reading the COTH article about McLain Ward’s three consecutive wins at Devon and I realized I haven’t seen Rothchild for a long time. He hasn’t competed since 2017.

Was he retired and I just missed it?

He’s retired. There was a ceremony at Old Salem last year I believe

Thanks staceymc. He was a fun one to watch.

Was he injured or did they just feel he’d had enough?

I don’t think he was injured. I believe he’s living the high life with the herd of retired horses at John and Beezie Madden’s farm in central New York. Those horses have a sweet setup there.

They really do!
I wonder how he behaves in a herd. He certainly had a determined attitude in the ring.
