Nope, nobody gave me any grief. I’m by no means a pro and my camera if far from pro-gear. I know of several other people just there to watch the show who have nicer equipment and they took pics, too. I didn’t see any signs or anything either. I know a lot of shows of that level have restrictions on pro photographers.
The way they trotted the ponies made it extremely difficult to take any pics… I don’t know if that is by design or not… they trot them along the far rail and the horses are all lined up the length of the ring blocking your view. If you tried to watch from the other side you could a decent photo because the fence is in the way.
