Devon Qualifying Lists

Does anyone know when they will be posted?!

They usually come out about a month before… so soon!

ahhhh thank you! i’m checking my email every hour hahah

The emails will take a few days to come out once the lists are published. Your best bet is to keep checking the Devon website. In years past it’s been about two to three weeks after the closing date that the lists go out.

They are up now!

I QUALIFIED!!!

Congrats! Are you qualified for the Pony Jumpers @ponyjumper525 ? Not trying to be smart or sarcastic, just trying to use my context clues

A/A Jumpers (I only know because I remember another post by OP about how to qualify).

Yes ma’am! The A/A jumpers  My horse had surgery for a cyclosporine implant for uveitis almost a month ago and we just started jumping again last week! I’m so so so excited and crossing my fingers and toes that the implant holds up (so far so good, but don’t know 100% until 6-9 weeks). I’m legit on cloud nine!! Cannot focus at work!

Qualifying was my goal since last year and I’m so happy I could even with a month off of jumping/showing!

If anyone has been to Devon, please let me know what you think, anything I should check out, and anything you wish you knew before you went!

ps - My user name has been pony jumper since I learned how to use AOL instant messenger hahhaha… brilliant deductive reasoning though

Buy the fudge. And have fun.

The fudge - yes! I also really like their lemons and a sugar stick in them and you drink the lemon juice through them. Sounds weird but they are very refreshing!

Pack for all seasons - seriously. Haha. I’ve only shown myself in the Hunter Breeding classes and then the young hunter under saddle but when I went earlier in the weeks to watch, sometimes its rainy and cold feeling and other times it feels like you never have a break from the sun.

Schooling also gets a little crazy as there aren’t a lot of places to school.

Check out the shops and walk around. They are all very cute!

Most importantly, have fun!

Interesting what divisions took wayyyyy more points than in years past, and which ones did not …

Thank you so much to everyone and their kind words!! I will be posting a lot, so if you want to follow me on Instagram or Snapchat, my user name is livinkavital0ca… I’m sure you can find my FB from those if yall are interested!! Would love to meet anyone who will be there Memorial Day Weekend!!

ps I need to find a carriage to show my horse before then! She hates wheeled objects (tractors, 4 wheelers, trailers-but loads like a boss) and I feel like if she sees a carriage, then she will think “THAT’S WHAT HAPPENS WHEN THE TRACTORS GET THE HORSES”

You may also want to show her saddlebreds to desensitize her (if you can). My horse is dead calm at shows. Wasn’t bothered by the Budweiser clydesdales pulling the HUGE cart, the ferris wheel, the demonstration of horses at liberty that involved WHIP CRACKING during his hack… I thought he was going to gallop back to NJ when he saw the saddlebreds in the warmup ring. You can check the schedule and see what else is going on near the time of your classes and expect to share the schooling area with those people.
