Does anyone know what 3pc d3d 4 5 3-10 means on Devoucoux stamp and what L/L Pro B10 means on a Voltaire?
Can’t tell you a thing about the Voltaire.
The Devoucoux has a D3D foam panel (as opposed to their older style of foam panels, which had a narrower bearing surface.) If the first notation is actually 4+5, it has 5mm of foam added to the panel region at the top of the shoulder/underneath the wither, and 10mm of foam removed from the back region of the panels underneath the cantle. The 4+5 is useful for horses with wither hollows, but 4+5 3-10 would be a rather unusual configuration- that’s 15mm more fill in the front than the back of the saddle. If it’s actually 4-5, it’s 5mm of foam removed from that region instead- though keep in mind that’s still 5mm more than the back of the saddle has, so there’s still more fill in the front than in the back. 4-5 3-10 is still a bit unusual but a useful configuration for a broad, curvy-backed horse with mild to moderate wither hollows.
