Devoucoux girths? (and other high end brands)

I’m on the hunt for a decent quality leather girth, as I have a new saddle for my girl on the way and everything I currently own is going to end up being too light of a leather for what I need - think ebony, black brown, etc. I have my eye (and sort of my heart) set on one of the Devoucoux hunter girths at the moment, but before I take the plunge on one of that quality was wondering what they’re like and what some other options could be. I’m looking for something very plain and huntery, elastic on BOTH ends (brown preferred), in 50-52". Thank you guys so much in advance!

i have a really nice Bobby’s padded girth that retails for $99 and is dark brown, fancy stitched, with dark brown elastic. It was very soft and supple right away, and has held up nicely.

Could I see some pics lys? I’ve actually had and loved a Bobby’s one in the past and really did love it a lot.

This Aramas one is nice and dark - a friend has one and likes hers.

I have the Bobby’s one, too. Here it is:

Mine has brown elastic unlike the picture. I have received compliments on the girth. It is a very dark brown.

Black Country makes an anatomic girth that can be ordered with elastic on both ends. Their brown is like a dark coffee been brown. It has no red tint in it as many do.

I have the BC girth that jaybird mentions. It is quite dark.
My other thought was a Stubben in ebony.

I have a showmark girth. It has a elastic on both sides and is pretty dark. It oils up nicely too.

I will be at the barn later this week and can snap some!

This one is quite dark, but I found it really skinny - my horse preferred his wider girths.

Was there somewhere specific that you bought it with the brown? I had a Bobby’s in the past that I loved but it did have the lighter elastic.

Thanks everyone for all the suggestions! I’m checking them all out now. Top dream picks right now are Voltaire and Devoucoux, pondering Bobby’s, SmartPak, Edgewood, and Black Country.

mine came from St. Croix Saddlery in Minnesota (I don’t live there, but have shopped with them multiple times and they are really helpful!)
