It will probably take the bean-counters months to tally everything up. On top of that, there is a certain amount of ‘slop’ in the bookkeeping between Alltech & World Games 2010 Foundation, Inc.

There is no study being done by any of the surrounding universities on the economic impact of WEG.
Also if WEG loses any money…it is Alltech’s money that is lost not the states.

The day of financial reckoning for WEG 2010 is yet to come. The organizing committee arranged to defer payment to many of their suppliers until after the games, when all the receipts from tickets sales, etc., are in.
Given that Alltech and Dr. Lyons had to bail them out a couple of weeks before the start of the games I would not be confident of a positive result.
Time will tell. At some point, as a non-profit organization, the WEG 2010 Foundation has to publish their accounts.

Some did (e.g. The Boot Store and Official WEG merchandise), some did not.
