I don’t know more about the whole TSG “thing” other than what I read in the media. I remember when Belinda was introduced as the new chairman of TSG a few years ago.

In this article, Frank talks about his vision for TSG and the racetracks. He also blames the problems SA has had during this Winter/Spring meet on key management.

Sure would like to know more where the “truth” is… always hard when there are multiple viewpoints. TSG definitely disputes what Frank Stronach claims which is what I would expect.

More than 20 years ago when then Magna acquired Santa Anita in the south and Golden Gate in the north, there were concerns expressed by smart people in the sport about 1 company controlling so much of California racing. The CHRB ignored those concerns, gave its blessing and here we are.

The level of disruption to the California horse industry caused by stuff like this is hard to overstate. It’s a helluva way to run a billion dollar industry.
