Just another note, although everyone has probably already discovered this

I went to a thread this morning to post. The ad overlay prevented me from adding, so I left that thread, went back in and the ad overlay was gone (and I added my post)

Yeah, sometimes refreshing helps, sometimes it doesn’t.

I’m having the overlay issue (Safari on Mobile) and the huge dropdown ads are driving me batty. When I try to see my notifications, that ad completely overtakes my screen and I have to click out of it and go back to the notifications.

I don’t mind ads generally speaking, I know COTH needs to make money to run somehow, but those giant ones that have the down arrow are obnoxious and need to go.

Reporting that this issue has not occurred again for several days.

There were a few variations on it for a couple of days, indicating that someone was trying with it, at least.

But as of this exact moment … it’s not happening.

It just happened to me again within the last hour or so.

I still haven’t experienced this on COTH since I last posted in this thread …

… but if it means anything, it happened on a news website, where an ad was covering a portion of an article.

That is the first time I’ve seen that other than on COTH.

Guessing they had a similar software source with the same issue … but just a guess.

It is still happening consistently for me on mobile (Safari browser) and is incredibly obnoxious. No issues on my laptop (Chrome browser), but I have AdBlock running, which is probably the saving grace.

The ad department has removed at least one ad that may have been causing issues due to sizing problems.

Please continue to post screenshots if the problem persists.

It happened again to me earlier today, but I don’t recall which ad. I will screenshot it the next time.
