For those interested, we will be conducting a mounted clinic (and happy to have un-mounted auditors too) the first weekend of June 1/2 at the Big Loop, which is just south of the New York State border near Cuba/Olean. This is within a couple of hours drive of Erie, Buffalo or Rochester area. About three hours from Cleveland, Syracuse, Binghamton and worth the trip!
Please drop a line to Faith at distancerider4@gmail.com for the entry form and more information. Tell her that Patti sent you!
Should be a good time, geared for newbies or those who want to learn a bit more as they dip their toe in the water or move up from one distance to another. I’ll be presenting, as will Dr. Pam Karner, and we will do both hands-on vetting and a couple of short loop rides at a couple of different paces to give you a sense of how an experienced distance rider does a loop at 5 or 7 mph, for example. You’ll also get to practice your camping skills.
This clinic is timed perfectly for those considering one of the upcoming OAATS or ECTRA CTRs or an AERC Limited Distance ride.
Look forward to seeing some of you COTHers there!
