I’m nearing the finish of restoring a Miley GN 2 horse straight load trailer. I so need your help with figuring out divider length so I can have one made. My horse box is 14’ long but 4’ of that is a side ramp on each side. That leaves 10’ of stall space. I planned to take 2’ off for a hay bag so that leaves 8’. Isn’t that too long? My mare is 16.2 and in a 78/80” blanket.
Measuring my own trailers there is 10 feet of stall space front to back between the front wall and the rear door. The chest bars are 3 feet back from the front wall; that’s head and neck space. The standing space for the horse, chest to butt, is 7 feet. My 17hh, 84 blanket draft cross fits just fine. including a hay bag hanging in front of him.
