This may be a stupid question, but I do not know the answer. I planned on making a few hay feeders this weekend. I plan on using tractor tires, the local tire shop will give me old tires, and I can cut the sidewall out but the heck do you get those big things flipped inside out???
I fork feed hay from round bales and need something to keep the hay from blowing away…anybody have any tips
Please google ‘horse trapped in tire’ and look at the images before you make a feeder out of a tractor tire.

A friend made a feeder with three heavy wood pallets - one on the bottom, and two forming sides, bolted to the bottom one. Then, three or four thin pvc pipe arched across the top formed a frame for a tarp “roof”. WOrked really well. The pvc pipes slipped into half circle brackets attached to the wood pallet…
