DIY feed thru bug deterrent? Product list, color coded and stats on the ingredients

Does anyone mix up their own DIY feed thru bugs away supplement that works? Last summer I used MVP Flies-a-way with enough success that I’d feed it again this year, unless I can come up with something better or DIY and cheaper. It contains garlic, brewers yeast, MSM, diatomateous earth, apple cider vinegar, thiamine, DL-methionine, and N-acetyl cysteine. It’s about $23 per horse per month. I already feed brewers yeast, MSM, and DL-methionine. I have some expiring B-1 I need to get rid of and I have a gallon of AC vinegar. Pretty sure I still have d. earth. Not sure it really does anything. Not sure if N-acetyl cysteine would do anything either. There is powdered AC vinegar available on line for pretty cheap. Costco has Granulated Garlic, 18 oz, for $6.95.

Hoping to get opinions and ideas. Any DIYer’s? If buying ready-made, what is working for you?
