I found myself short a pair of boot trees and DH says, βI can make you a pair.β Fast forward a few days, and voila! Everything was scrap from other projects, so cost was nil. Figured you guys would appreciate!
What a sweetie.
How kind! (I use rolled up magazines⦠Vogue is good because it has the scented ads in it which make your boots smell good :))
Awesome hubby. I made mine out of pool noodles, but then my amazing sister made custom covers for them out of leftover fabric from my wedding decor.
I had pool noodles, too. I had them in all of my riding boots, fashion boots & work boots. Then I got a cat that found that biting the noodles into chunks was fun. I came home to a room full of multicolored foam bits. It was so deep it looked like bedding.
It looked like he had fun.
My tall boots I wear with jeans in the winter have older Dover catalogs propping them up. Remember those, before they got so fancy? They seemed to have a lot more items and photos than they do today.
I use pool noodles on the rack at the barn to protect my reflocked resized saddle.
Yep, all mine are kept upright with pool noodles.
Cat hasnβt discovered them yet.
I have the fancy store-bought kind. I bought my boots over 20 years ago - Effingham semi-custom. I donβt think pool noodles were invented yet. My new young kitty likes that kind of stuff. I bought a memory foam bar stool cushion for the bleachers at Equine Affaire. He was 7-8 months old and I found it in the living room. It was in the finished basement near the computer. I would have loved to see him dragging it up the stairs. He ruined the cover.
Itβs getting hard to figure out what is a kitty toy these days. The funniest thing the horse has done was play with one of those white stackable chairs in the paddock. We think it blew in. The farrier caught him. I wasted money on a βhorse toy.β
I think Iβll buy a pool noodle for some barn boots.
As they say, cats are gonna cat
My horse only seems to like to play with her flat food bucket.
