Well I am pretty straight up and down (with a little muffin top). I bought size 32 ROMFH breeches which are a tad big and make me look like I am packing a dingle dangle. I think I will try a 30 in the TS 1967 since Molly8it and I are roughly same weight/height. Thank you all for your help! You ladies are awesome!

I would agree with chestnuthunters’s description, but only for the older styles of Tailored’s. The Trophy’s have much more give and a normal rise. I can barely, barely fit into my old 28s (like won’t wear them they are so tight), but the trophy 28s are even a little big. The low rise are not crazy low.[/QUOTE]
I 100% agree with this. I wear a 28 in normal clothes, maybe 26 depending on the brand. The old style with the old seems, were TIGHT in a 28, so I preferred to buy the 30. In the new Trophy hunters with the stretch I find the 28 perfect, bordering on the larger side. .
Ammy Owner, try the TS model instead of Trophy. The waist is smaller than the Trophy for sure and the rear/thigh area roomier (closer to the old fit but lower rise and not quite as small).
All I wear are Trophy Hunters because they are the most comfortable breech ever! Side zip fit though is definitely different than front zip. I feel like the front zips would be better for people with smaller waists but still have hips/butts, as the cut definitely tapers in more than the side zips. So if I’m going with front zips, I do have to size up.
Don’t forget – SmartPak does free returns on sized items! You can order a couple pairs and keep what fits. Also, what KateKat says --it seems the side zips are roomier than the front zips, at least on my body,
