I don’t recall whether this line’s goods are good or otherwise. I’m looking at https://www.thinlineglobal.com/shop-saddle-pads-horse-tack/#!/SMB-Cobra-Sports-Medicine-Style-Horse-Boot/p/23455614/category=6707239
Thank you.

Thank you.
I use the regular ThinLine Sport Horse boots on both my horses. I have used them since they became available, and I love them. Easy to put on, do not retain heat, easy to clean, and last for ages. No grit and grime or rubs inside as can happen with fleece lined boots. I use them as schooling boots (dressage).
The ones here:

I did have the Cobra boots but never used them, and sold them on.
Can’t comment on the sole pads; I have not used them.
I have never used the medicine boots but I have tried the sole pads. I really disliked them as did my farrier. They are a lot thicker than you would expect. He had a really hard time nailing them on and getting the shoe on tight enough. One shoe fell off about 2 weeks in (this horse doesn’t loose shoes either) and on the other hoof, the thinine pad tore across the sole. I didn’t use them again
I used the hoof pads in Cavallo boots for my horse when I had to pull his shoes due to crumbly walls. He needed the boots over the winter, and his thin soles couldn’t take the frozen ground. I tried the Easy Care pads and they wore out in less than a week. The Thinline pads held up for about a month with 24/7 use. They wore out under the wall but stayed squishy for the bulk under the sole. He was much more comfortable with the Thinline pads than anything else I tried.
I can’t say anything regarding using them in conjunction with shoes. I can see them being difficult as they do squish down quite a bit, and could cause a loose shoe.
Thanks–I was intending to use the insoles with boots. I need some sort of protections for a suspensory failure and founder. (Some horses have all the luck.)
Not only am I dreadfully inept with putting on standing wraps, I need to ice the bow a couple of times a day.
Reading this intently.
Could you put duck tape over the insoles while using them inside a boot to make them last longer?
