Forgot to add- he was found in NJ

I would post this in general not in the dressage forum:yes:

Did you rescue this horse? Looks like he is on his way to a happy retirement with his little buddy!

It might help in getting him identified if you said where he came from if he is a rescue. He looks familiar but there so many chestnuts. If he was “retired” recently someone has to know who he is

Kill load from carpenter’s lot in NJ

yes he is a rescue. No paperwork. No history , just a lovely well mannered older horse that was loved and cared for once.

Freshly shod and in the kill pen  What a shame!

I don’t know who he is, but he’s lovely. Thanks for picking him up

He looks like a brother or clone of a series of (I think) Trakheners that were boarded and trained with Sashi McDowell at Autumn Acres in Broadway NJ. Remington, I think was the geldings name, but I know he had a full sister and a full brother in the area. Sashi now runs her lessons out of Harmony Equestrian Center. 908-797-4593

I could be WAY off, but ya never know!

He’s beautiful. Thank you.

No idea but I hope you find some history on him. He looks so sweet.

Thank you.

Is this a horse you have “found” or are looking for?

Yes! Off Course, or Horse Care, would possibly be more helpful.

This is a rescue from a kill load. Any help would be great. Please forward his pic to friends etc. Someone knows this terrific old fella.

I did not want it lost in general area- so it is posted in H/J and dressage.

Thanks

We merged your threads on this fellow together and moved them here to the Missing Horses forum, which has developed into a spot where owners can try to connect with their existing horses’ histories a bit, as well as tracking down info on their past partners.

Folks can contact you privately with info, and if you get any hot leads, you can update this thread to provide further information on him. Because this forum isn’t as busy as our others, threads are less likely to slip down the page list unseen.

Good luck!
