Do you use Skito pads?

I am buying a used Bob marshall Sport saddle and it seems that the Skito pads are the ones that are recommended for the saddle. I hate to spend the money, but if it is the right pad for the saddle, then I will do so. What are your thoughts on the pad? My horse has an average build of a semi QH bars and he has a slightly high wither. So i do expect to have to but the shoulder bridge shims.

Please tell me your thoughts on the Skito pads, care and how often they need replacing of the foams. Do you love or hate them and why. Thanks.

I love mine, although I don’t ride in my BM that often any more. I have had it for several years and it’s held up really well. I haven’t replaced the foams but suspect that if I were to do a lot of heavier riding in it, I should. I had shoulder shims for the original horse it was used on. He had a decent wither and pockets behind his shoulders.

i don’t ride as often as an endurance rider. Maybe once a week. And my trail rides are generally an hour and a half. I just sent an email to The company asking for their recommendations on what shims i might need. also sent a photo of my horse.

Its a great pad, those shims will hold up for a long time with that little riding. Enjoy! Bob Marshalls are awesome!!!
