I’m so excited that there is finally a chance for me to bring my dog to the KY Horse Park for a dock diving competition! It just so happens that it falls the weekend of Aug 16-18, which is also the USHJA International Hunter Derby Finals!!! Dock diving is super fun to watch and even more fun to participate in! I highly encourage anybody in the Lexington area (or those attending the Derby finals) to swing by and see what we’re all about! Oliver and I will be making the 8 hour drive to compete on that Sunday in Big Air and Speed Retrieve! I can tell you, that I will never complain about horse show waiting ever again! I will drive a combined 16 hours (down & back), and the total time I will spend actually competing my dog: 4 minutes and 14 seconds. We get 1 minute on the dock for our (4) Big Air jumps, and he averages 7 seconds for his speed retrieve (which they get 2 tries)!
