Does anyone have any recent experiences with BUA saddles?

Does anyone have any recent experiences with BUAs? Looking online it’s mostly opinions from 2020-2017 so wondering if anyone has any recent opinions on them

A little update incase anyone else in the future is wondering the same question. I’ve trialed one and my personal conclusion is for its retailing price it’s not worth it.

pros: very high pommel/ very good spine clearance across the 4 horses i saw it on.

Very very light weight

Very breathable (?). The way it’s built it allows more airflow + with its weight the sweat was very minimal

Pretty comfortable, a bit like seating on a chair

cons:
even the jumping flaps are way too low cut (this may be a personal preference but if you enjoy a very forward cut this probably isn’t a good option)

While the spine clearance is good, the panels created a pretty significant pressure point on 2 out of 4 horses

You can very much feel the edge of the tree. Not really painful and rather easy to forget about but quite annoying when you grip with your thigh

Not sure how to really word it better then it feels very cheap/ low class. Not sure if it’s the leather quality or the big blocks but it’s not a saddle i’d be comfortable taking to a decent jump height.

I had one but I sold it. It was very comfy but being that it only came in 1 seat size it ran too small for me. I also could not get past the rebound bounce it had even when it was cranked down. It fit different shapes of horses beautifully.

The designer left the company and is working with Stubben at the moment on the “Stubben REV” so maybe look for reviews on those.

I’ve ridden in one quite a bit. The seat, as noted above is small, but it fits a lot of horses and I had no problem with the rebound.

that’s interesting. stubben was my first choice actually but they’re quite heavy and their current manufacturing time is 6months (not even for a custom) and i’ve seen that they go on quite wide (ie their 28 fits more like a 30). last one is a deal breaker since my main horse is very tall and narrow (especially in the withers)

Tree size is irrelevant because the whole tree flexes. Think more like EQ Science/Reactor Panel.
