I have 2 unopened bottles of fly spray (Black Ultra Shield) that have been sitting in my house since my horse died in May 2017. There are expiration dates on the bottles…the dates are sometime in 2022. I have someone that I can give it to but I wanted to check and see if it will be effective after sitting around for so long. Any opinions or experience with this? It has been in my house the whole time…not sitting in the barn and going through temperature changes.
Given the expiration date is out there and they are unopened, I bet they will be ok. I have sometimes had too much at the end of the season and it has sat in my tack room til the next summer and worked just fine. I’d just want to make sure it got really shaken up to mix well before using.
Give it away. It will be fine same as if it sat in the feed store.
