Dog Boarding/Sitting Recommendations for over holidays - DC/NoVA/MD

Any recommendations for dog sitters or boarding in DC/NoVA/MD areas? I’d be willing to travel as far as Leesburg/Middleburg area for a good one.

Strongly prefer/need a place that gives the dogs their own space/kennel if boarding.

Looking for over Christmas holiday as well, so that might make it trickier.

I have never used this place but might start now that I’m down to one dog. The other was aggressive with strange dogs so it wouldn’t have worked for her to see and hear them all the time.

I found a dogsitter with several repeat clients and rave reviews on dogvacay.com, like a week before Thanksgiving after the previously contemplated dog sitter became flaky and also multiplied her initially quoted rate by a factor of four.

I found a place ten min from where I am staying for the holiday which I like better than being a 7 hour drive away.

Highly recommend, am thinking of joining as a dogsitter myself.

Did you ask your vet clinic?

Ours has boarding and also individual vet assistants that dog sit.
I boarded my dog there when I had surgeries requiring longer than a day or two in the hospital.

Would some housesitting also work, where the dog can stay at home under a similar pattern of life it has now, just with a different human there?
I know some that will do that at times and it works very well for their animals.

I also have friends that have offered to keep my dog for me, but she is very small and their dogs big and rambunctious and that may not be a good combination, so declined that arrangement.
