dog hair out of the car

are their any tricks?
i spent $3 worth of quarter at the car plase with the vacume yesterday and got a lot but there is still a lot left lol. would think two ten lb. dogs would be such trouble  its that spiky JR hair.

try this

Wear a rubber glove like for washing dishes, slightly damp. Wipe your hand over upholstery, it will clump up dog hair for you to remove.

Seat covers. Old beach towels/sheets/blankets. There are also fancy-schmancy ones they sell in pet stores. What I like the best are old fitted sheets - the elastic helps keep them on pretty well.

You’ll still get hair on the floor and a little bit in the front because it all blows around, but at least most of the back seat will be clean.

I keep a Pledge Fabric Sweeper in the car. And an el cheapo car seat cover that I got at Petsmart over the backseats.

A wet hand/glove/cloth/sponge: swirl around on the seat and pick up the clumps. Spikey hair is more difficult-might have to do major duct tape lint roller action!

Wait, are you telling me it’s wrong for my car to have a layer of dog fur?

Either ScotchGuard or Arm & Hammer makes a non-toxic spray that “lifts” dog hair out of the fabric seats. Being that we have German Shepherds, it came in handy.

Otherwise, we both invested in these:

It saved many hours of vacuuming out dog hair!

lol  love it

Its more in the carpets that I have a problem getting it off. The seats arent as much of a problem.

I bought a VW waggon (way more money than a sedan) especially for my white dog to go in the back. The black loopy carpet collected every single hair and was impossible to clean. She’s not allowed there any more. I feel like writing to VW with a complaint!

:lol::lol::lol:

Hmmm
how about Ms Clairol in black for your white dog?

Well, I buy enough Miss Clairol for myself!

While I was in school, I was borrowing my parents’ car since I couldn’t afford one of my own. I love my father to death, but he is OCD about cleanliness. One look at his car after my dalmatian had been in it and he flipped.

So, to restore the peace, I bought one of these:

I love it. It keeps the hair off the seats and the floor, and thanks to it, my parents let me keep using their car.

All of you who’ve posted pet hammocks, is there something similar for the back of hatchbacks? My Husky isn’t comfortable on the back bench of my Honda Fit, so we usually travel with the seats down and his bed in the back. That also cuts down on the dog hair, since the flipped down seats are guaranteed to be passenger-ready in seconds even after hauling the dog.

How does the dog get in the car with one of those hammock things? My dog has to first climb onto the floor and then get up on the seat. Do you just attach the part to the front seats after the dog gets in?
