Have any of you found anything that works? My new dog is doing serious damage to my lawn. I’ve been trying chews I got from a Chewy seller, but they’re not working. This is the first time it’s happened after a lifetime of dog ownership. I’ve been dousing her pee spot with water if I see her squat but I can’t always be there.
Unfortunately I’ve never found anything to fix this when I have a (usually female) dog that burns the lawn. I tried add tomato juice on top of their food(this was the recommended solution in the late 90s), “dog rocks” in the water dish, full diet change, various supplements… finally I just gave up and removed the grass, putting in rocks for the dog run area, fenced away from the grass area. If I see a dog pee on the grass while we’re out playing I try to douse it with water but even that isn’t always fail proof.
Hoping someone else has a tried and true solution!
I do have a male dog but I water the lawn daily if it hasn’t rained; just a short sprinkle. But I have an incredibly small yard, so it’s not difficult to just spray it down. I mostly walk him a lot and he gets most of it out on our neighborhood trees!
