Is there such a thing as dog wipes to clean a dog’s coat without bathing her. She is a Boxer so stays clean, but can
benefit from a surface clean up…something that smells nice?
Maybe there are better wipes out there, but I tried Earthbath grooming wipes, and they’re useless. Had better results just rubbing with a hot washcloth - sort of the dog version of hot toweling a horse!
Yes, probably a simpler idea, and free. to use a warm towel. My dog is on the way to becoming a therapy dog and I’d like her to be fresh and clean, even if not completely bathed every time.
Shhh, don’t tell, but I’ve been known to put a little nice soap on the towel before rubbing.
Dry shampoo for dogs, I had one like a powder, don’t remember the brand though.
I use unscented baby wipes on one of mine who… is clean but likes to roll in things and pick up smells. Cheaper than the wipes “made for dogs” and work better in my opinion. He’s never had a reaction and I’m careful to not get it near his eyes.
I’ve also used some of the foaming waterless baths and some of them work pretty well. They take a bit more time, but not much and can last longer. Some do leave a residue so it is just trial and error. I’ve tried many brands and it is about a 50/50 if one works the way I want or not.
Friend of mine with Rotties used to give them a quick wipe down with a damp washcloth that we’d squirt a little bit of foamed puppy shampoo into (she’d make that herself - just use an empty foaming soap dispenser and fill it with a little puppy shampoo and mostly water). Super easy and the dogs always felt and smelled lovely.
Thanks - Rotties especially pick up odour, don’t they?
