Some cute pups in this pix. This year dogs are also being invited to the Race for the Cure in downtown Portland this month. My friend said when she was going thru chemo her dog would lay down next to her and it gave her such a feeling of hope and peace.

I love it when people are allowed to bring their dogs to functions like these. If you don’t like dogs, don’t go on the night they are welcome. Win-win in my book!

At horse events, if your dog is only allowed on a leash, please keep them on a short leash. I’ve made my views known about dogs at horse shows tho, so I won’t beat this one to death.

Aw, hi pups! The Houston Astros host “dog day” once or twice a season. I haven’t gone yet, but I’m planning to do the one next Sunday. You get to walk out on the field with your dog before the game, and there are a couple of sections reserved for dogs with their owners. I have to do SRO b/c my guy is over the weight limit of 80 lbs to sit in the seats. It’s pretty well organized, you have to send electronic copies of your vaccination records before they’ll sell you the ticket, and they have a potty spot available in the park somewhere. Leashes required, of course. It’s a fun promotion that they keep doing year to year.

That is awesome Sunsets! Do you put a team jersey on your pup? I noticed in the Portland pix lots of people had the Timber colors on their pooches.

And by the way, how big is you dog?

I’ll probably make him wear my old Astros T shirt. He has no issue wearing people clothing,

He’s a GSD, mostly all leg, but he weighs in at 80-85 lbs.
