Doing business with JILL BURNELL? BEWARE.
S And screw the fact that some of these offspring will exist because the owners had contracts with Jill that they wanted filled.* They do not have the luxury that Diane, Kathy and others may have to just write it off and take a monetary loss.
Just a few facts “Roy” ;). I definitely do NOT have the luxury of being able to walk away from the costs of a breeding. However, considering the number of times many of the mare owners have had to breed, re-breed, re-breed again, deal with uterine infections, etc…the cost of the breeding was just a small part of the equation. Risk infecting pregnant mares with EVA because this particular stallion owner chooses to flat out LIE about proper protocols and to have a totally cavalier attitude about it? And at the end of the day, to still not have a pregnancy, or to have to fight every step of the way to get the necessary paperwork - “priceless”. Yeah…I’ll jump right on “that” bandwagon and support her. NOT.

It has absolutely NOTHING to do with the quality of the stallions or the mares in her possession. It has everything to do with her business practices and ethics. We don’t NEED to exaggerate. Just rebutting her claims is more than sufficient to prove a point.

Those behind the scenes are well aware of actions we have taken in an attempt to help mitigate damages. I can most certainly look myself in the mirror at the end of the day. Can you? And what have YOU done to try and help fix the problem? :frowning:

OwnedByHim, I was indeed referring to Emerald Kitty. I am not, however, one who contacted you as I am not in the market. I will not be for quite some time. I simply have liked the mare for a number of years (at least 5, before she left California for Canada) and have wanted to keep tabs in case the opportunity came that I could afford to make an offer.

I do feel bad for the stallions at GFF. I don’t particularly care for one of them as I don’t really like what he throws, but I do like the other two. It’s a shame they have to pay the price for negligent business practices and what does appear to be improper care.

False Impressions…

I have replied to anyone who has pm’d me with my name and number. I own and stand Aberjack, so most know who I am, but I am not active in hunterland, as a rule. And yes, as a matter of fact, I am a very good hand with a horse, and yes, Emerald Kitty was saddled today for the first time since I picked her up. She was happy, when we finished, for the first time since I met her. She stood, hip shot, licking her lips and touching with her muzzle,un tied, completely relaxed while she was un saddled, rinsed off. The only time she has ever not shown anxiety and tension while being handled is in the breeding stocks. This thread isn’t about me…I only entered into the conversation because when I googled a mare I had been given,Up came GFF as having her as a broodmare and then was contacted and informed of every foal ever produced and what they were doing etc, by Stacey. Stacey has posted pictures of this mare on her FB page and referred to her as “hers”. To date, I have not met Stacey, received money or a signature on a breeding lease contract. I highly doubt I ever will. Jill Burnell and Gray Fox Farm here in California haven’t scammed me but she sure tried. I just think that if more people were more up front about issues like this…and by this, I mean this whole 85 page thread…there would be a lot less folks feeling used up, financially gutted, burned out about breeding,ad nauseum.
I have been in contact with Glenhill Farm about this mare since the day I picked her up. I knew nothing of her history or all her many “owners”…I only can tell you about her behavior since that day, what she is like currently and that horses don’t tell lies. She didn’t conceive in 2011, didn’t conceive in 2012,don’t know if she will conceive in 2013, but till then, she is going to get a shot at being my new riding horse. I like her.

so where is the link to this new forum where people are going to discuss what a good business person Jill Burnell is, and how there are a bunch of jealous meanies on the internet out to get her for no reason?

You can use that as the name of the forum board if you like, I don’t mind!

Thank you for replying. I am glad to see that, maybe, the future is brighter for Sophie/Emerald Kitty if she can be ridden, even if she does not get in foal ever again.

I am traveling for work. Been on the road since 4am and still not where I am going yet so I can’t answer all the PMs on my phone. I know we aren’t supposed to post real names here so I wont be doing that. I went back to screenshot the post but it was gone. Not sure if I should say anything via pm without proof. Anyway she is a woman and has been mentioned by name here.

So Roy Parker, where is your forum? Or is it a secret?

We own a Redwine gelding, as I have mensioned before, that was folaled in Germany before JB bought the stallion. he is from the first crop and is 7 years old.
JB stole a picture off facebook of him and put it on her website, I emailed her and asked her to take it off, she never replied , its still there as our farm name as owner.
My hope is she is stopped, for the horses and the people who have been harmed.
who is royparker?

Does anyone know who her service provider is? They take theft of photographs very seriously and will shut down her entire site if she doesnt remove any photos that she doesnt have express permission to post
That might be the route to go …

If she has illegally stole photos from you and has not taken them down per your request; you can contact her site designer/webhost and they will do something about it. Most webhosts take this kind of thing very seriously.

Jill Burnell has gone absent from facebook (which she frequently updated) and there has been little activity from her.

We all would like to know who royparker is

Send me a PM if you want your photos removed. I can give you the name of her web hosting provider. If you contact them and let them know that photos are being used without your permission, the web hosting company will make sure they are removed.

Apparently, Roy Parker is Kmsuds

Hmmmm…
So just FYI I decided to start my own forum.* It is for horse owners and breeders who choose to make up their own minds regarding GFF and their stallions.* Stick to facts and frown upon fairytales that grow beyond the truth and are fueled by haters and other small time breeders who see this as a way of upping their sales.
*
Though many of you claim to not want to bash Redwine or any other GFF stallion that is what you are doing.**Your filly only got her jump from Pablo, rightDiane? And folks like Laurie, Annie and Diane seem to be trying really hard to ensure that no foal from a GFF stallion will be of any value in the future. God forbid something happens and you need to sell one of your fillies. Why not attatch a dreaded label to it, right Diane?Laurie is safe right? Let’s write down that date,oh yes only foals born AFTER 4/5/11 will be subject to the witchhunt. And screw the fact that some of these offspring will exist because the owners had contracts with Jill that they wanted filled.* They do not have the luxury that Diane, Kathy and others may have to just write it off and take a monetary loss.
*
So in my forum I will then I willencourage those who don’t like the politics of this group to boycott the stallion owners posting on this thread and the small time breeders who keep fueling this beyond what it should be. For as it was said long ago there is more than just a touch of jealousy that is keeping this thread from staying fact based.
*
I am truly sickened by some of the comments I have heard from people I have been told were “upstanding” citizens in the breeding world.* If you think what Jill has or has not done is bad turn your mirror around and look at yourself.* Those of you who can say you have not lied or exaggerated, good for you.* For the rest you should be ashamed.
Roy Parker;

I have unfortunately not figured out who you are but here’s my take on this:

This thread was not started because everyone was a bunch of bored horse owners who just wanted to have some fun on the internet. Obviously that could get everyone in a host of trouble. I’m trying to make sense as to why you would think these horse professionals would “make up” these stories and post them on a world-wide forum under their everyday real names. These are people who OWN redwine (or other offspring from stallions from GFF) and are HAPPY with their foals. The only sad thing is that Jill is forever attached as baggage to these offspring. The truth is; theyre not happy with Jill’s business practices in this industry and they feel compelled to warn others before they go down that route. Your logic makes no sense Roy.

The only person Jill has to blame is herself on this one. She started shoveling her own hole many months ago and now look where it’s gotten her. We do not deny that Aloha, Redwine, Federalist, and Romantic Star are great stallions. We do not deny the quality of broodmares either. The only great thing is that Jill bred none of them…she bought them and therefore I don’t give her any credit for producing these broodmares or stallions; they are simply a form of a money factory for her.

What we find unfortunate is the lack of quality care for any of them, the fact that she screwed the biggest names in the country out of their money she owes them, the fact that she sells foals with no papers, will not register foals to associations that require DNA verification, sold semen to Canada that was EVA positive but didnt take the proper export requirments, Took breeding fees from clients but never supplied them their product they purchased, took purchase money but never supplied the buyer with the horse they bought, she mis-led any buyer/client through her website with pictures of pretty foals galloping through green fields of grass (leading everyone to believe they were well-cared for, healthy, and recieving proper nutrition), she bad-mouthed other very reputable stallions in the industry on public forums, she illegally stole professional photos from facebook and webpages to use to her own benefit, falsely informed clients about the effects and risks of EVA, collected and distributed semen through a disgusting/unorganized lab leading to infection risk and EVA contamination risk to the other stallions; should I continue on?

Roy; let’s be realistic here. The facts are out and Jill Burnell of Gray Fox Farm is a thief and has continued her business practices in a very fraudulent manner. The only unfortunate thing in this mess is these poor horses are still in her care and she has screwed numerous people out of their hard-earned money. This thread is long overdue and it’s about time that the world knows the true colors of Jill Burnell. This is an observational opinion; take it as you wish

Apparently, Roy Parker is Kmsuds
I do see that Kmsuds has been active on every thread regarding Jill Burnell and Gray Fox Farms. How interesting-

Um yeah, I’m looking in the mirror. My name is Tracy, I own Daventry Equestrian, and I see that I have always paid my vet, always paid my farrier, always paid any trainers who have been involved with our horses or ponies, always paid our shippers and have always paid my stallion dues. I also see in the mirror that any time someone has given me money for stud services, I’ve always provided them with the best semen possible and it was processed in a clean and orderly environment and we have tried to bend over backwards to get every mare pregnant. When I’ve purchased horses, the seller has gotten their money in a timely manner…and when I’ve sold horses, the buyers have actually received their horse. Our horses and ponies are all out in grass pastures and have great weight on them. They have shelters and clean water at all times and are dewormed, vaccinated and trimmed on a regular basis. While my house could use a vaccuum today ;), it is clean and orderly and our yard and acreage is immaculate with no junk lying around anywhere. Oh yeah, I also see that I have no dog poop in the house either! And here’s the kicker; I also see in the mirror that anytime I feel I have done something wrong or someone isn’t 110% happy, I don’t sleep well and do everything in my power to correct the problem or situation and make it 110% right.

Sorry, my mirror isn’t a magic mirror like Jill’s…or yours apparently. Your above statement is what you’re going with? Really? Really! Man, I sure would like some of what you’re smoking!

:lol::D:lol::yes:;):lol::winkgrin::eek::yes:

Guys, people with Borderline Personality Disorder are 100% incapable of seeing themselves and their actions as others do. They are convinced they are right, and honest, and good, and believe that everyone else is “the problem”. That everyone else is “out to get them”.

This is classic BPD. These people are not consciously “lying” - they truly believe everything they say. It sounds twisted and bizarre, but it’s the truth. It’s a mental disorder, and they rarely ever realize there’s anything wrong with them. They can function relatively well in society, but usually leave a trail of frustrated/baffled/hurt/shocked people in their wake. They are very quick to threaten with lawsuits, very quick to run to a lawyer to get cease & desist letters drawn up, very quick to call the police and accuse everyone and anyone of fraud, slander, harassment, etc etc etc.

I speak from personal, and very painful, experience.

So, do not waste time and/or energy of ANY kind responding to posts such as Roy’s or Kmsuds’s. There is no point.
