Dominus Saddles... for moderate wither and relatively flat back?

I am attempting to locate a saddle for my growing QH/Trak, who is coming 5.

He has a moderate wither and a relatively flat back. He is a tad wide through the shoulder, so most medium trees have not provided enough shoulder room, and many panels are too curvy.

I have located a decently priced Dominus, and I am wondering if it is worth paying the shipping to try.

It is a wide tree. Can anyone comment on whether the Dominus trees run true to size or generous, and whether they are curvy or flatter in shape? Wondering if it may be an option for this type of horse.

I’ve attached a picture of his general topline shape. He has since gained weight and looks a little better overall condition wise, but the muscling and topline shape are not much different as I am unable to work him much due to the saddle fit issue and his overall slow maturity.

Any other saddle suggestions in the under 1k category would be appreciated - not looking to spend a lot as I suspect his shape will change quite a bit once he is in actual work.

Thank you saddle gurus!

I’m not a saddle guru by any means but I found that Dominus saddles run a little narrow. I used to have one that was stamped a regular tree and it probably measured more like a narrow…I never took the tape measure to it but I can tell that my now regular Devoucoux is definitely wider. I also recall reading on here in the past that the trees tended to run more on the narrow side.

If it’s for a good price it may not hurt to try it though. I think they are nice saddles for the price point and I got a lot of use out of mine.
