Dover Sterling Saddle?

So was just browsing the Dover Holiday 2016 catalog. Came across the Sterling collection of tack-- all in grey. Anyone see it in real life?

The saddle is particularly interesting…wool flocked which is pretty cool. So anyone seen one?

I have to admit I don’t really see the appeal.

I have to say, I am particularly enamored with the gray leather halter. I think that would look STUNNING on my chestnut…alas, a bit outside of my price range considering he lives out 24/7 and we never go to shows or anything.

So here’s a follow up question: do they only offer this particular model in grey? Or, is it simply a new color for a model they’ve been producing/selling for a while?

it looks a lot like this one, except the sterling version is flocked which is much preferred imo: http://www.doversaddlery.com/circuit-premier-sj/p/X1-15908/

I’m with you on the halter! Especially since my favorite color is grey and my xc colors are black/grey/white… I wonder how long it will look that pretty though? I imagine the color will fade, like black saddles.

Exactly my thoughts, both on loving the halter but worrying about fading or colour-change with use.

Would love to see larger photos, and on a different coloured horse…
