This is so lovely. Also BOX of tissues, not just one or two 
My current horse does this with old horses who are on their way out. It’s heart breaking. Not sure if she does it with humans, although she definitely had a different demeanour with me after I had surgery. Didn’t last long though. She was back to demanding to be waited on hand and hoof in a couple of days.
