I’m home today, and the only thing on is Dr. Pol reruns. I’m okay with most of it, but there’s an episode where a horse gets bad cuts on the back legs, near the hoof. The vet (Brenda?) Stitched them closed, then proceeded to do the worst wrap job I’ve ever seen - a couple of loops around the fetlock, barely covering the wounds, and that was it! Seriously, is that a thing now?
I learned that when you wrap that area, you wrap from hoof to above the fetlock by at least a few inches (preferably to the knee, IIRC) to avoid the wrap slipping and cutting off circulation and making things worse. Am I wrong, or does that vet not understand how to wrap a horse properly? Color me confused.
