Draft Bridle Recs?

Looking for a new snaffle bridle for my draft x. Prefer black, with or without a removable flash. He’s a true draft size and a regular oversized bridle won’t work. Right now we’re using the Kavalkade Mia draft bridle, but it’s starting to crack and no amount of cleaning/conditioning has been able to soften the leather. Does anyone have any recommendations? It seems like most of the draft bridles out there are brown.

Riding Bridles - Leather

EvoEquine makes bridles in several sizes including a Draft horse size (which they call their Shire Horse line). I have an Irish Draught mare and she has fit into their XL size bridle easily. They can also mix and match sizes of various bridle parts to create a custom bridle:

Unfortunately I do not have many recommendations, but share your struggle. I have a Percheron / TB with a big, but also refined head. The draft bridle pluvinel linked was what I rode her in until I found the Kavalkade Mia - it was her mother’s (full Perch) and I felt she looked like a police horse in it. The leather is full grain, however, it was 15 years old at least and still in OK condition with a good oil. There is a FB group - Heavy HorsePower Harness and Tack which has a lady in the UK who stocks draft sized tack and might have some options.

Bobby’s English Tack might have something for you. In my experience they run quite large and their higher end line was quite nice and a great price.

Might not be fancy enough or the style you want, but I found this bridle to be a true draft size and the leather quality was quite nice.
