Drafts in Dressage!
The Sugarbush Draft “cross” is just that, a cross, it is NOT a recognized draft breed as they take several different breeds, both lights and draft, and cross them, not sure what they are trying to do as the original ones that the founder had were Percheron/Appaloosa cross, tall, loud spotted and heavy boned often times. Until it is recognized, wish that they would be called a cross, as it is a misconception to the general public who does not know anything about it other than the romanticized version of this cross.
I am not what you mean by recognized? They have a breed association where they are carefully screening horses before they accept them. They also have representation at various equine expos, and had an ambassador at the KHP for a while. They do year end awards, and do a lot of work to promote the breed.

How is that any different than say, the Georgian Grande?

I also have a percheron/paint cross. He is fairly downhill so it has taken a lot of work to get him off his forehand–he loves to lean on my hands!

Cobs are a type though, and the Welsh Cob would fall under that.

Halflingers were bred for pulling work, and are considered a small draft breed.
MysticOak Ranch was correct; Haflingers are not a draft breed. That is a common misconception in North America because people were used to seeing the shorter, draftier style that was bred down in size in Europe during the war to pack supplies through the mountains. Haflingers descend from an Arabian stallion, not draft horses, and were all purpose horses, both ridden and driven. Now they are being bred to be more sporty and athletic in type, just as they were being bred before the war interfered with breeding practices in Austria and elsewhere. There are quite a few breeders breeding them successfully for dressage.

Love drafts. I have wanted an Irish horse of any sort for years but would love an Irish draught or a Connemara. I also love the Gypsy Cobs.
If I ever get one it will foxhunt and drive in CDEs so dressage, driven style.

Boo your mare is cute! I wish my Clyde x was a pleasure for everything.
He’s a bit of a special baby right now even though he’s 11.

Thanks Plaid  i’ve been very lucky with this mare - its pretty much all her and accordingly i’ve been rather slack with training her as she just generally copes with everything. I bought her sight unseen too  The local mounted police were also interested but i got in first

My last horse was full on hard work so its still a lovely novelty to have a nice easy going horse.
